Our Traveling Quilt Shoppe carries a wide variety of fabrics from many of the most well known companies: Hoffman, Michael Miller, Moda, Maywood, Timeless Treasures, Benartex, Lakehouse, Red Rooster, Alexander Henry, Robert Kaufman, Textile Creations, Blank, Diamond Textiles, Island Batiks and more.

Right now, we have a large selection of the wonderful Michael Miller Fairy Frost: Natural, Copper, Onyx, Celestial, (med. blue), Bottle (green), Creamsicle, (peach), Spruce (light green), Red and many more. This makes a great fabric for borders, backgrounds, and piecing. Outstanding for wearables. We have also just ordered 13 bolts of Benartex Fossil Fern in new colors – including Black Orchid – an “old favorite” that Benartex has decided to reintroduce into their line. These will compliment the other Fossil Ferns that we currently have in stock.

We try to always have in stock the background fabric on our website: Hoffman essentials, we call it Rice Paper or Pressed flowers as it really does resemble hand made paper, or a collection of pressed flowers. We carry it in two color ways, the one you see on the website, and another one in pale blue. We are always ordering it from Hoffman, and there are times we must wait a few weeks for a shipment. Another Hoffman we always have, the Hoffman prepared for dying fabric. If you enjoy hand dying your own, consider this high thread count fabric that is pure white with no sizing or other finishing on it. It is very soft, almost like silk.

Coming soon: Minkee by Benartex. This unbelievably soft, cuddly fabric will become one of our customer's favorites. Six pastel colors in both the Minkee Smooth and Minkee Dot should be arriving in late May. It is indescribable!!! You have to feel it to see what we are talking about. This is the only polyester fabric we carry. It comes 58-60 inches wide. In July/August the dark jewel tones should be ready. Suggestions: Make a soft, cuddly lap size to snuggle up with in the fall and winter months. Make yourself a great new housecoat/robe/dressing gown. Consider putting another beautiful fabric on the outside, and line it with Minkee so you can enjoy the luxury of this fabric against your skin. Use your imagination, and come up with something very special.
